This winter marked an important milestone for our Max team—and a powerful validation of the long-term development model we’ve committed to at TST. Competing at two of the country’s most competitive events—the Raleigh Showcase and the Surf College Cup—our group finished with an impressive 2-1-1 record vs ECNL opponents.
These performances weren’t just good games; they were proof of concept. Proof that our training works. Proof that our players rise when it matters most.Proof that development—done the right way—always pays off.
Three Years in the Making
What makes this success even more meaningful is the shared history of this group. The core of this roster has been with TST for three years, growing through our system, embracing our methodology, and trusting the process even when the results weren’t immediate.
They’ve trained through every phase we believe in:
Continuous technical development
Positional understanding within a modern, possession-driven model
Individual decision-making
Playing up in speed, intensity, and demands year after year
Their commitment to long-term growth has shaped them into a team capable of going toe-to-toe with some of the strongest clubs in the country.
Peaking at the Right Time
One of the pillars of our Max program is preparing players to peak during showcase season, when college exposure is highest and competition is at its toughest. We design the pathway and curriculum specifically to maximize performance during these moments.
At both Raleigh and Surf, the players stepped onto the field with confidence, clarity, and composure. Their performances reflected not only their talent, but their preparation—built across months and years of focused training.
A Statement for TST and What We Stand For
These results are not about one weekend. They’re about what we believe in as a club:
That development drives performance. That loyalty and commitment matter. That a connected team with years of shared growth can outperform bigger clubs and higher-status leagues. That with the right curriculum, coaching, and culture, players can achieve at the highest levels—without needing the biggest badge.
The Max team’s success at Raleigh and Surf is a testament to the power of long-term development, high standards, and players who trust the journey. We’re incredibly proud of them—and even more excited for what comes next.
